About Me

Madison...
In July 2009 our lives were blessed with the most
wonderful gift ever! We adopted our sweet little Madison. She is full of energy
and keeps us on our toes. She has a smile that will melt your heart and knows
just how to work her mommy and daddy. Madi brings so much joy and happiness into
our lives and we cherish every moments we have with her!

Easton...
On April 20, 2011 our sweet little Easton joined our family. We are so grateful
for the blessings of adoption and the amazing woman that has helped to bring our
family here. We are so excited to have a little guy around the house and look
forward to watching him grow.

Welcome to the world Cordon Edward...

On September 28, 2012, I was given the opportunity to witness one of the most amazing things that happen in life, the birth of a baby.  My sweet sister-in-law and my brother welcomed little Cordon into their family and they gave me the privilege of being a part of their miracle.
Their day began early, like just after mid-night.  I joined them around 8:30, just as Annie received her epidural and poticyn.  Annie labored and just as she reached a ten and felt ready to push, she started throwing up which dropped Cordon's heart beat.  They rushed (literally) her to the OR for an emergency c-section.  It was a scary few minutes as we waited for the doctor.  Here is my brother all ready to go see his little guy come into the world.  You can see the worry on his face.  He held it together well!
In an even rarer privilege, I got to watch the c-section.  It was AMAZING!  I took pictures of the procedure for Chris and Annie but I am only posting this one out of respect for Annie.  You can see his arms and chest as he lay on her legs seconds after he was delivered.
This is the nurse they had, Ashley, warming him in the nursery.  She was so sweet.
Cordon was born at 6:27 pm and he weighed 9 lbs. 6 oz. and was 22" long.  He was definitely ready to come out!
Since Annie labored and was stuck at a five for so long, he had a serious cone head, about 5 cm around. :D

Isn't he adorable!?!  I love his little O.  He is so long and so sweet!
This is Annie's mom, Karen.  She was there with us too.  She is such a great lady.  She makes everyone feel welcome and wanted.
Cordon has the longest eyelashes I have ever seen on a baby, and some serious eyebrows.  They are so bushy.  I don't remember my babies having eye lashes when they were born.  He is just like a little doll!
And this is the proud papa, my brother, Christopher.
(I am not posting pictures of Annie with him but maybe when I have their video done, with Annie's permission, I may share. Maybe.)
Congratulations to both of you!  You are going to be wonderful parents and he is absolutely perfect.  Thank you for letting me part of this special day.  I love you guys!
