November is National Adoption Month. Each year the Utah Adoption Council partners with Boondock's and Wendy's for a special Saturday to celebrate adoption. We started with Wendy's chili and some yummy donuts.
This year was even more fun because the kids were actually old enough to do things with us. This was Easton's first time bowling. He LOVED the ball return.
Miss Madi wore her first pair of bowling shoes and they were so cute you wanted to keep them! (She's been bowling before but her feet have been too small for the rockin' shoes! :D)
Of course Madi picked the pink ball. She was nervous at first and didn't want to push the ball without one of us helping her.
Easton had no fears. He kept picking up all the balls from the return and dropped them on the floor because they were too heavy for the little man. He found the air blower and wanted to put his head over so it would blow on his face. He lost his balance or bent too far or something. Next thing I know he is wailing and has a big red mark on his forehead.
Watching his ball roll down...
"Watch me daddy." Good job Madi!
Waiting for their turns...
"Give me five, Easton!" He was so proud of himself after each turn. Such a doll!
You can kind of see the mark on his forehead. There was a half circle cut that bled a little in the middle of it.
My hot hubby! I don't think I have EVER beat him in a game of bowling. Love him!
At least I beat Madi and Easton, and they had bumpers! :D
After bowling we played mini golf. Madi has never done it. I love this of her daddy showing her what to do. She tried a few holes and then quit. Easton carried around a putter and got our balls out of the hole for us.
Madi did not like the 18th hole. It was a man that spit water at you if you missed and blew fire out the top if you made it. Madi was scared of both and talked about it for at least a week. We went back in and played the arcade games until our cards were up. It was a great day. We look forward to it every year! Thanks to all that make it possible!
