About Me

Madison...

Madison...
In July 2009 our lives were blessed with the most
wonderful gift ever! We adopted our sweet little Madison. She is full of energy
and keeps us on our toes. She has a smile that will melt your heart and knows
just how to work her mommy and daddy. Madi brings so much joy and happiness into
our lives and we cherish every moments we have with her!

On April 20, 2011 our sweet little Easton joined our family. We are so grateful
for the blessings of adoption and the amazing woman that has helped to bring our
family here. We are so excited to have a little guy around the house and look
forward to watching him grow.

Christmas Eve... 12.24.2013

This year we decided to have a big family Christmas with my siblings.  We went to Nicholas and Christina's for Christmas Eve dinner and a night of fun.  One of the best parts of the night was a conversation between Christina, Tiffany and Madi.  It went like this...
Madi asked her aunt for a cracker. Aunt Tiffy said "You're missing something" (implying she needed a please) to which Madi quickly ran her hand over her hair and replied "I know, my crown." I love this kid!!!
Tickle time with aunt Christina!
Everyone needs some tickle time.  Lots of fun playing with cousins and aunties!
Madi and Aunt Tiffy...
I hope these two will always be close.  Madi and Brenton are ten days apart.  They are so cute together!
We made cookies and then the kids got all lined up to open their Christmas Eve PJ's.
Even Derrick got in on the cookie making action!

Whitney got the best jammies!  Christina had thought they were a child's size but actually bought a woman's size.  Guess she has lots of room to grow into them!
Caitlin got My Little Pony...
Brenton got Avengers...
Easton frosted his cookies like a pro!

Christmas came early... 12.16.2013

No, Santa didn't come early.  My nephew, Colson, and Easton helped them selves to the stash of gifts that were hiding downstairs and tore through them like mad men!  They opened at least a dozen presents before I caught them.  I couldn't pry away Captain Hook, Tick Tock Crock and Jake so we let him keep those.  Since he got to have one early, so did Madi.  She picked a dress up kit to unwrap.  It went perfect with the new play dress I made her!

Sawyer... 12.14.2013

For the several months this was my favorite way to see this kid!  My cute nephew is 110% a mama's boy.  When I would babysit him he would cry the ENTIRE time that his mama was gone!  There were a few rare moments that he would sleep (like this one), which were my favorite!
Now things have changed.  This little guy is no longer going through attachment struggles and I am so glad!!!  He loves to snuggle, laugh, play and giggle with me.  He is so stinkin' cute and I love playing with him!

A visit with Santa... 12.13.2013

Every year we look forward to going to the Baum Christmas party.  Santa comes and brings a present for all the little kids.  He always brings my kids a book.  In past years this has been the only experience my kids have had with Santa.  This year there was a BIG storm and we decided to stay safe and not go.  Although we were sad and bummed to miss it we didn't tell the kids we weren't going.
In past years, Santa has not made an appearance at our ward Christmas party but he did in 2013.  That solved my problem with getting pictures of the kids with Santa (although I have NO idea where the pictures are:D).  They sat on his lap and told him what they wanted and then the evening went on.  Part way through dinner Madi came to me, very concerned, and said "Santa forgot to give me a present."  I let her know that he didn't have room in his sleigh for presents for everyone and that he had told me that he left it at home for her.
When we got home I told them to get their PJ's on.  Sure enough, when they came out in their jammies, they found a present for each of them on the couch.
Madi got a Disney Classic Storybook.  She loves it!

Easton got Monster's  Inc. Storybook Collection.  It's a favorite for him!
They were both THRILLED that Santa hadn't forgot them and had made a special trip to leave them their gift.

The first snow... 12.3.2013

We had a very mild winter but this is from the first snow of the season.  The kids look forward to the snow and get so excited about it!  They will play out there as long as I will let them!
Madi LOVES this hat.  Her grandma made it for her so she picks it every time!  She loves to go the the hill next door and roll down it.  I am not sure why they think it is so cool but Madi and Easton both think it is the best place to play!
Tastin' the snow...
They thought it would be fun to take a walk around the neighborhood.  Such cute little kids!
