About Me

Madison...

Madison...
In July 2009 our lives were blessed with the most
wonderful gift ever! We adopted our sweet little Madison. She is full of energy
and keeps us on our toes. She has a smile that will melt your heart and knows
just how to work her mommy and daddy. Madi brings so much joy and happiness into
our lives and we cherish every moments we have with her!

Easton...

Easton...
On April 20, 2011 our sweet little Easton joined our family. We are so grateful
for the blessings of adoption and the amazing woman that has helped to bring our
family here. We are so excited to have a little guy around the house and look
forward to watching him grow.

Daniel & Erin's Family Pictures... 10.12.2013

I took Daniel & Erin's family pictures.  I think they turned out pretty good.
This is my favorite family one...
Aren't they cute together?!  It has been so fun having them live close.

Let's be silly!!!

Cousins... 10.5&6.2013

While we crafted during conference the kids played.  Ava, Parker and Colson got a new toy for the backyard and the kids all loved it!
I love these pictures of my happy kids playing with their cousins!
Madi LOVES Ava.  She tells me all the time that she is her best friend.  They are so cute together and have tons of fun!
On Sunday morning, the kids got to play the Cheeky Monkey game.  Easton & Brenton were the most fun to watch.  They had a blast with it!

Craftastic...

My fabulous sister in law made the cutest shirts at Halloween.  (The picture is sideways, but you get the idea ;D) Madi loves it, especially the glitteriness of it.
My sisters and I got together during the priesthood conference session and did a few crafts.  I love having sisters around to craft with.  It is much more fun to craft with them than by myself.  This is what we did...
Another thing I have done recently is to refinish my big shelf. I was kind of sick of it so I painted it black, added new knobs and voila!  A new shelf that I LOVE!

Happy Birthday Cordon!!! 9.28.2013

We were able to celebrate Cordon's first birthday at the zoo with a lot of the family around here.  My kids LOVE the zoo and never seem to get tired of going.  We waited at the entry for everyone to get there.  Easton got tired of waiting. :D
Easton stuck to Ava pretty much the whole time.  He LOVES her.  He calls her Aya.  Madi din't want to get in the picture with them.
We got to see the new splash pad!  Of course since it was the end of September the water was off, but the kids still had a blast!  Easton tried to pick star fish.
Looking through the peep hole in the sunken ship...
All the kids LOVED the lighthouse slide!
Playing on the polar bears...
The birthday boy getting close up with the lynx!
I love this spot for the kids.  They are able to get so close and really see the animal.  My kids would spend an hour in here watching the cats in this display.  It is nice in the winter too since it is inside.
Easton was sweet and showed Cordon the lynx.  I love that he is starting to be nicer to Cordon.  It gives me hope! :D
What's a trip to the zoo without a ride on the carousel?  Miss Caitlin...
Miss Ava...
My Easton Boy...
Brenton...
Parker...

Not sure why I don't have pictures of the rest of them.  It was a great day and we really enjoyed spending time with them!

My Ballerina... 9.18.2013 & 9.25.2013

I can't stand how stinkin' cute this girl looks all dressed up, ready for dance!  She is so excited every time she goes.  She gets out of the car and when she gets to the stairs she waves and blows a kiss or signs "I love you".  When she is finished, she loves to show me all the new "tricks" she learned that day.  Her teacher is fabulous and Madi eats up each thing she learns.  I love being able to support her in doing something that she enjoys and that builds her self esteem!

Madi's First Cavity... 9.9.2013

Madi had her first cavity.  She was a little nervous about going and wanted to wear her Rapunzel hair.  I convinced her to trade it for a flower.
She was doing great until they tried to put the mask on her to help her relax a little.  That took some convincing.  I let her choose, the laughing gas mask or shots.  She opted for the mask. :D

We LOVE our dentist.  The kids love watching a movie while they get their teeth checked, cleaned and now fixed.  Madi picked Wreck It Ralph.
They have AWESOME new technology.  Instead of numbing with a shot, they use a laser.  It is completely painless and just makes a loud popping noise.  I am pretty sure she would have had a meltdown and locked her lips if they had to give her a shot.  She HATES them!  The visit was quick and she loves having "sparkly" stuff in her tooth.  She even likes to look at it months later.  Hopefully there won't be more of these visits!

Our Camping Trip... 8.31.13

For labor day weekend we planned to go camping with Chris & Annie, Nicholas & Christina, Tiff & Rick, Andrew & Holly and their kids.  Chris & Annie went up early in the week to save us a spot.  They roped off a great site in American Fork Canyon.  Dad was awesome to let us use the Jeep which was packed full!  (We would have had to strap the kids to the roof if we had to use the Focus. ;D)  We got there Friday night to find people in our site!  Not just one group but THREE!  The rope was gone and three different groups had set up their camp in our site.  One of the groups left after they realized the size of our group and that we were not going anywhere.  The other two stayed but kept to themselves.
I am bummed that these are all the pictures that I got.  My battery died minutes after I got it out. :(  I got some fun art things for the kids.  I'm not sure why I brought "things" for them to paint because they painted themselves and thought it was awesome!
The first morning we woke up to find that we had run over a screw on our way up and the Jeep tire was totally flat.  Aside from that and the mix up with the site, it was a wonderful time!  The kids had SOOO much fun and got SOOO dirty!  They looked like orphans by the time we got home.  (I wish I had gotten pictures of them at the end, maybe next year.)  We all slept great, ate good food (with no ash ;D) and had so much fun with the family.  One of my favorite parts... Derrick, the kids and I went for a little hike.  The views were amazing and it was fun to listen to the kids.  While we were out we walked by a tree.  Pine cones were falling out of it.  We looked up and a chipmunk was throwing pine cones at us!  It was kind of funny.  Looking forward to our next trip!
