About Me

Madison...

Madison...
In July 2009 our lives were blessed with the most
wonderful gift ever! We adopted our sweet little Madison. She is full of energy
and keeps us on our toes. She has a smile that will melt your heart and knows
just how to work her mommy and daddy. Madi brings so much joy and happiness into
our lives and we cherish every moments we have with her!

Easton...

Easton...
On April 20, 2011 our sweet little Easton joined our family. We are so grateful
for the blessings of adoption and the amazing woman that has helped to bring our
family here. We are so excited to have a little guy around the house and look
forward to watching him grow.

Mama in the Making... 5.16.2013

My sweet princess Madi loves loves loves her little cousin, Cordon, and it's a mutual thing.  As soon as Cord sees her his face lights up!  She looks forward to seeing him every opportunity she has.  She talks to him, plays with him and always wants a mini photo shoot when they are together.  She is so sweet to him and I love watching them together.
Madi's popsicle red lips...
Okay, I know it is a little bit of Cord overload but that face is so stinking cute!  I love his big, brown eyes and those squishy cheeks!
"What color is my tongue?"
I hope these two always stay close friends, even with their age difference.

Hooray for Cousins!!! 5.15.2013

On May 15th my brother, Daniel, and his cute family moved to Syracuse.  While him and Erin went to take care of paper work and get the keys to their new house the kids played with us.  My kids are so excited to have cousins close by.  They LOVE playing with them and I am loving having a sister close by.  We have done lots of fun things with them and have really enjoyed having family close by.
Anyhow, the kids were playing in the back yard and Parker wanted to play in the water.  I told him he couldn't get his clothes wet cause he didn't have any to change into.  Next thing I know a naked little boy is running right at the pool!  LOL!  Good thing their kids fit into my kids swimming suits. :D

Of course the pool isn't enough water, we needed sprinklers under the trampoline too!
 Parker Boy...
(Easton calls him Cracker)
Cute Colson wasn't that into the water but he had fun mowing and playing with other things.
Cousins make the best friends and my kids are definitely making that true!

Watercolors in the tub... 4.9.2013

What do you do on a rainy day?  Paint in the shower of course!
The kids had a blast and really enjoyed doing this and clean up was super easy!  Love these two kiddos!

Big Boy Undies... 4.7.2013

Well, it's time.  Easton is taking off his diapers and wants to go to the bathroom like a big boy.  I decided I can't fight it anymore so we are officially potty training.  He picked Cars undies and has done great at keeping them dry.
*Update 8.16.2013:  That lasted for a few short weeks.  Once he got the idea of it down and the fun and mystery of the toilet became the norm he decided he was done.  For reasons of my sanity I put his diaper back on and told him when he is ready to go in the toilet ALL the time then he can go back to his undies.  He wasn't even two when we started so I feel ok with that. :D

From the phone...

I thought I'd better update the pictures from my phone since there are several months worth.
Feb. 4th... My little ballerina
Feb. 13th... Reading at the library, a favorite place for my kids.
Feb. 14th... This is the day Easton had his seizure.  He was sooo red from his fever being so high.
Feb. 15th... We came home and I was unloading everything.  I came back out to see why Madi didn't follow me inside and found her "hiding" in the window.  :D
March 12th... I was weeding in our strawberry patch and would show the kids worms and rolly pollys (potato bugs) and caterpillars that I found.  Easton LOVED it and planted himself right in front of me. He held the worms, broke the worms, smashed the worms on his forehead.  Every time I go out to do yard work now Easton wants me to dig him up some bugs to play with.  ALL BOY this kid!!!
If he wasn't playing with the bugs he was throwing dirt or eating it.  He got it in his eyes.
Mar. 28th... Easton cracks me up!  He has shown a lot of interest in the toilet and goes when he wants in the toilet so I bought him a pack of undies.  He cried and cried when I put them on him, trying to take them off as I would pull them up.  He was sure that I had bought him hats!  This is no joke, true story!!!
Apr. 1st... Easton did something and got put in the corner for time out.  I look over and he has Derrick's shoes on and is playing with something on the floor.  Only kids can turn "time out" into a fun thing. :D
Apr. 6th... Playing at the park.
Apr. 29th... I was getting summer clothes out and pulled out a Finding Nemo swimsuit.  It was still too big for Madi so I put it back in the tote.  Easton grabbed it and carried it around the house for a few days.  Then on this day, he insisted on wearing it.  Some things are just not worth fighting.  Doesn't he look cute in his sister's too big Nemo suit?  And so happy!  Love this kid!!!
May 13th... Easton has started to think that he is too big for naps and there are some days that it just gets too late so I don't put him down for one.  Those are usually the days I find him like this.  How can that possibly be comfortable?!
May 14th... These are two of my scouts.  Steve is one of the head mechanics on the F-16's at HAFB.  He took us into a couple hangars to see the insides of them.  AWESOME!
